Global Health Practice Test

A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is indeed important for the health certification of animals within domestic trade, but it is not universally appropriate for the international movement of animals. For animals moving across international borders, a CVI often requires accompanying documentation that meets the specific import requirements of the destination country.

Each country has its own set of regulations and health certification requirements that generally go beyond what is provided in a CVI. This could include import permits, vaccination records, and additional health certificates that attests to the specific health status of the animals. Therefore, while the CVI plays a role in animal health certification, it alone is not sufficient for international movement, making the statement true that it is not the appropriate document by itself for such purposes.

Hence, the emphasis should be on the need for additional documentation and adherence to the receiving country's specific regulations, which reaffirms why the choice indicating the statement is false aligns with the requirements for international movement of animals.
